All About the 2” Leather Work Belt

Built for durability and a low-profile fit, the 5002 Leather Work Belt is made from premium 12–14 oz. Bridle leather, custom tanned in the USA. Its slim 2" width is ideal for compact tool bag setups, while edge stitching and a heavy-duty roller buckle ensure long service life.

Not a replacement for the ProFORMANCE leather over-belt.

Leather Gear Care

Our leather is custom-tanned to handle tough, outdoor conditions. However, tough gear still deserves smart upkeep.

  • Brush off jobsite grit daily, and wipe down with a damp rag when things get muddy.
  • Occasionally shake out the debris from inside bags and pouches.
  • For deeper grime, use mild soap and water—no bleach, no harsh solvents. Then let it dry naturally.
  • For occasional cleaning maintenance—about once a year—use saddle soap, a leather cleaner, or mild soap and warm water. Then apply a small amount of non-oil-based leather conditioner. We recommend our Rugged Service Cream.
  • Store dry, out of direct sun, and your Occidental Leather gear will outlast the job.

* Avoid oil-based products, as they can weaken stitching and shorten the life of the leather.

* Always wipe off mud, concrete, or other drying compounds with a damp cloth before it dries, as these materials can draw out the leather’s natural oils

  • All orders ship from our workshop in northern California within 1-2 working days after you place your order.

Please note that our pricing does not include VAT, import tariffs and customs duties. These will be collected by the courier upon delivery. Customer is responsible for these fees and any return shipping/customs charges if the delivery is refused.

We're happy to accept returns on new, unused, and resalable items. Please try on your belt at home, before wearing it to the jobsite. We cannot accept returns on used, worn or tool scuffed products.

  • Items must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition, along with a valid RGA (Returned Goods Authorization).
  • Please contact us within 15 days of receiving your order to request a return.
  • Occidental is not responsible for shipping costs associated with returns or exchanges (unless it was our goof-up).
  • Refunds can only be made back to the original form of payment on the order.
  • A $25 restocking charge may be imposed on certain returns.

Great belt but poor size chart.

I just received my belt and several other bags. The quality of the belt is excellent. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is the sizing chart that’s in the link for the 2” belt must be for the larger belts. Because I used the guide an ordered a small since I have a 32” waist. I was on the very last hole on my belt whereas in the chart the mid hole should have been 34”. Adjust that chart and 5 stars all day!

For clarity, our 2' work belt sizing is based on the measurement from the end of the buckle to the hole you use on a tool belt worn over your work clothes — not pant waist size. A Small belt has a midpoint hole at 34', with 4' of adjustment in either direction (approximately 30'–38' total range).

In most cases, a 32' pant waist will measure several inches larger when worn over pants, regular belt, shirt, hoodie, etc., which is why we recommend measuring an existing tool belt rather than using waist size.

We include those measuring steps in the size guide to help avoid exactly this situation, but we understand how easy it is to default to pant size. When in doubt, we’re always happy to help with sizing before ordering.

In this case, we can certainly help with an exchange. Don't hesitate to reach our to customer service to get that going.
