All About the Stronghold Light Suspenders

Designed to reduce strain without adding bulk, the Stronghold Light Suspenders deliver dependable support in an ultra-lightweight package. Built from industrial-grade nylon with leather loop attachments and heavy-duty spring clips, they’re ideal for long days on the job when comfort and mobility matter.

Chest-height pockets keep pencils or clip-on tools within easy reach, while the streamlined design pairs cleanly with Stronghold and compatible belts.

Installation note: For installation on additional belts, use Installation Kit #5509.

Compatibility: If you are going to use suspenders with the 5191 - Pro Carpenter's 5 Bag Tool Belt Setup, you will need the DAK - Direct Attachment Kit to connect them.

Please note that our pricing does not include VAT, import tariffs and customs duties. These will be collected by the courier upon delivery. Customer is responsible for these fees and any return shipping/customs charges if the delivery is refused.

We're happy to accept returns on new, unused, and resalable items. Please try on your belt at home, before wearing it to the jobsite. We cannot accept returns on used, worn or tool scuffed products.

  • Items must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition, along with a valid RGA (Returned Goods Authorization).
  • Please contact us within 15 days of receiving your order to request a return.
  • Occidental is not responsible for shipping costs associated with returns or exchanges (unless it was our goof-up).
  • Refunds can only be made back to the original form of payment on the order.
  • A $25 restocking charge may be imposed on certain returns.

You would think these suspenders would be compatable with the standard Occidental belt, but they are not. The loops are too small, they deform the belt if you try and force them on. If it doesn't work, it's junk. I've had my Occidental bags for over 25 years now, it's a shame the company is incapable of making products that work. Thanks for wasting my morning.

The leather attachment loops are intentionally snug when new, but I assure you, they are designed to work with our standard 3' belts. That tight fit helps prevent sliding and movement once everything is broken in.

To install them, cup the belt slightly into a “C” shape and slide the loops into position, then you can ease the belt in the loop to stand flat. If not, don't worry, even though the shape of the loop is stiff, as the leather relaxes and breaks in with use, they'll conform to the belt and it will all straighten out.

If you’d prefer a different attachment method, we also offer a Direct Attachment Kit that allows you to rivet hardware to the belt and clip the suspenders on instead.

Makes carrying my loaded fat lips much more comfortable, but I find the straps are difficult to adjust, and today I had one of the clips break after getting caught up on a stack of steel sheets. I don’t see how it’s possible to replace without cutting the stitching on the loop end of the nylon strap. A carabiner works as a temporary solution until I figure out how to install a replacement clip.
