All About the Oxy™ Pro Zip Vest

The Oxy Pro Zip Vest is engineered for tradespeople who need comfort, organization, and freedom of movement on the job. Its zippered front makes for quick on/off, while back adjustments provide a secure, customized fit. Wide-shoulder, open-back design promotes airflow and reduces fatigue. Equipped with two 2003 Oxy Tool Shields for safe storage of sharp tools like knives and chisels, plus roomy cargo pockets and integrated pouches.

Also available in a left-handed option.

Nylon Gear Care - Keep your nylon tool gear in top shape.

  • Brush off jobsite grit daily, wipe down with a damp cloth as needed, and let it air dry.
  • Occasionally shake out debris from the inside.
  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure and heavy chemical cleaners.
  • For stubborn grime, use mild soap and water.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Abrasions or Small Tears

Nylon webbing and trim are tough but not indestructible. If you notice abrasions or small tears, act early before they spread, especially in high-stress areas like seams, corners, and straps.

  • Make sure the area is clean and dry.
  • Seal it with nylon repair tape or a fabric patch, such as Tenacious Tape or Gear Aid. A small amount of construction adhesive or flexible super glue also works in a pinch on small areas.
  • For added strength, stitch over the area with heavy-duty thread.

Nylon Tool Bag Repair Policy

We don’t repair nylon tool bags. Once ballistic nylon tears or frays, it can’t be restitched to its original strength, and we don’t offer patching. We recommend replacing damaged components.

Fading

Nylon fabric can fade over time with sun exposure, and frequent direct sunlight speeds it up. Fading is not considered a defect.

  • All orders ship from our workshop in northern California within 1-2 working days after you place your order.

International Shipping:

Please note that our pricing does not include VAT, import tariffs and customs duties. These will be collected by the courier upon delivery. Customer is responsible for these fees and any return shipping/customs charges if the delivery is refused.

We're happy to accept returns on new, unused, and resalable items. Please try on your belt at home, before wearing it to the jobsite. We cannot accept returns on used, worn or tool scuffed products.

  • Items must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition, along with a valid RGA (Returned Goods Authorization).
  • Please contact us within 15 days of receiving your order to request a return.
  • Occidental is not responsible for shipping costs associated with returns or exchanges (unless it was our goof-up).
  • Refunds can only be made back to the original form of payment on the order.
  • A $25 restocking charge may be imposed on certain returns.

Great vest for installing cabinets!

I’m very happy with my vest so far. I really like that I can run the zipper up so when I’m kneeling down it doesn’t ride up. The pockets are very efficient and it feels very high quality.

A reasonable compromise between bags or an apron. It's working pretty well, more structure than an apron and doesn't take up the space of bags, which can be hard on finish work. Good purchase.

Really happy with this work vest. I’m on the smaller side and the fit is still great. It feels durable and is comfortable to move around in all day.

As an electrician, the storage is excellent — plenty of pockets and space for the tools and small parts I carry.

The only downside is breathability: the shoulder and stomach area(when closed) don’t ventilate as much as I expected. Overall though, it’s a solid vest and I’d recommend it.

Almost perfect!

I usually run my suspendavest 2500 stronghold with Oxy Light bags. I got the Oxy pro zip vest to do smaller interior stuff, and just when I don't need all my stuff. The zip vest is made very well and the pockets and pouches are placed perfectly.
The only issue I have with it, is the adjustment on the rear strap isn't quite enough, they should have made both sides adjustable, instead, only one side of the buckle is adjustable, the other is very short, and not adjustable. Other than that, it is a fantastic vest/apron.
